Szabolcs KissPál (1967) works in various media from photography to video, from installation to objects and conceptual interventions. His main field of interest is the intersection of new media, visual arts and social issues. He currently teaches at the Intermedia Department Budapest, Hungary and he is leading a studio at the Intermedia Department of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia.

His works have been presented in the framework of various Hungarian and international contexts ranging from galleries to various art institutions, from fine art events to media festivals (Venice Biennial, Kunsthalle Budapest, Apexart New York, Stedelijk Museum, Seoul International Media Art Biennale, etc.) His installations can be found in the collections of institutions such as the Ludwig Contemporary Museum Budapest, the National Musem for Contemporary Art Bucharest, the Muzeum Wspólczesne Wroclaw, the Kaddist Art Foundation Paris, etc

Since 2012 KissPál has developed and activist practice by: starting up and maintaining the NEMMA blog, founding a protest group called Free Artist.
